Childhood dream? As a kid, I wanted to become an architect.

One sentence highlighting your role: Looking for new properties which fit to our micro-living and student housing concepts.

What do you enjoy the most about the student housing and micro-living sector? The fact that we are developing probably the most innovative housing concept at the moment, by combining the best from two worlds: independent living with the privacy of your own flat,  but within a cool community space.

Did you study or lived abroad and if so, where? I haven’t yet lived abroad, although I studied at two different universities here in Germany. But I am a passionate traveller: so far I have already visited 39 countries!

Where did you live as a student, and how different was the student accommodation landscape back then? In my first academic years I lived in different flat-sharing communities where I enjoyed the company of other people. After a while thou, I realised that I need more independence and so I moved into my own flat. Unfortunately there were no student housing providers like Staytoo at the places where I studied. That’s maybe the reason why I believe so much in the concept of micro-living apartments.

Tell us something we don’t know about you? I own a tiny, broken, reed-thatched house in Hamburg and during my leisure time I am renovating it, and trying to transform it into a fancy micro-house.

Among the many projects we have in the pipelines, what are you most excited about? You need a good imagination for developing the next property. I always get excited as soon as I realise how our next project and concept could work into a market!
